Beginners Yoga Series

Learn...Grow...Become Inspired

This is a beginners 4-class series for those completely new to yoga and also for those who wish to add to their fundamental understanding of basic yoga breathing and postures. I have a warm and friendly teaching style and I try to instruct using language and practices that are familiar and give students a sense of muscle memory and embodiment. It is my personal goal to ignite your interest and familiarity with yoga so that you are inspired and comfortable continuing to practice either with me or another instructor. 

In this series you will learn and practice:

  • Three Yoga Breathing Techniques

  • 20-25 Most Common Yoga postures and how to modify each of them as you begin your yoga journey including:

    • Balance Postures

    • Core Strengthening Postures

    • Standing, Twisting and Heart Opening postures

  • Transitioning between postures and to and from the floor from standing

  • Yoga support for mindfulness and stress reduction

  • Practices and language specific to the Yoga tradition to prepare you for whatever style of yoga you choose to practice in the future.

Details

  • Please register ahead below, class size will be limited.

  • Wear comfortable clothing

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled

  • Bring a yoga mat if you have one, all other yoga props will be supplied

  • all classes taught in person at Rise Church   

Cost
